Peter The Blacksmith, posted some time back that he placed a Suzuki GR 650 ('82,'83, or '84) on the Savage with minimal adaptation.
The speedometer is now gone with this change, how ever a bicycle front wheel (electronic Pickup) can also be used on a Savage.
